The South Eastern European Research Oncology Group has been established to create a platform for cooperation on an international level both in scientific research and cancer policy development. Representatives of 11 European countries have founded the Group: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Turkey.
The Group?s mission is to improve healthcare policies regarding cancer research, diagnostics and treatment; to become a partner for policy makers in respect to national oncological plans; to help patients survive cancer and gain a better quality of life.
SEEROG?s central focus is international cooperation aimed at promotion of health and scientific interests in South Eastern European countries. The Group aims to establish an international network for preparation and conduct of scientific research in oncology with the mutual benefit of all involved entities. It is also of the Group?s interest to improve and integrate the results of research into clinical practice and implement state-of-the-art therapeutic methods within member countries that would improve survival rates and the patients? quality of life.
